Sulfur:
It is a nonmetal crystalline bright yellow element, solid in room temperature. Although it is the 5th element found abundantly on the surface of the earth but nowadays mostly it is produced by removing sulfur-containing contaminants from natural gas and petroleum.

Applications:
Almost near to 85% of sulfur is converted to Sulfuric Acid (H₂SO₄) and in turn Sulfuric acid is being used in the production of fertilizers, oil refining, waste water processing and mineral extraction.
Sulfur is actively used in the production of detergents, dried fruits, cements and gypsums, pesticides, bactericide in winemaking and food preservation and pharmaceuticals.
